I know in this website I’m not supposed to talk about IELTS complications. This is fitness website so I should be vomiting on how to get abs, muscle retention, fat reduction etc. But today, while I was preparing a lecture for IELTS Spoken Complication, it turned out remarkably a practical and logical solution for those who seeks answer to question- “how to answer unknown topic on ielts speaking”.
Furthermore as a writer I feel it’s my duty to share a good research that could help many. And to solve a problem in IELTS means you get to go to your desired country which will make you Happy. Also eventually, Happiness will influence you to stay fit.
Because it’s obvious without fitness you won’t be Happy. And for that, all that you’re going to achieve by performing good in IELTS will go in vein.
So in a sense, this solution to IELTS Spoken Complication is somehow related (maybe in a far manner) to ThisIsWhyIAmFit. Hahaha….

How to Answer Unknown Topic on IELTS Speaking

So as I have also started IELTS preparation gruesomely, and started to gather some pivotal points for the exam pattern complications.
Like for today’s lesson- I would like to discuss from the speaking section of IELTS.
Complication:-
Everybody has there own spoken English ability to some extent.
a. Some can think in English to deliver the emotion (whom are fluent like the native).
b. Some translates from their mother tongue to English to deliver the emotion (here inside our mind, we go in search for simple vocabulary to basic stuff, which as a result, end up stammer on the intended sentence).
>>>The more you get comfortable at point (b.) the better you achieve point (a.)<<<
Now the complication I’ve noticed is that, in the name of general topic, IELTS curriculum throws such topics like books, pencil, garden which were generally sensible for everyone in the ’90s.
Today if I ask you to “talk about a book you last read”. Here 95% people of this era, will stumble on making unique sentences from their real experience as no one reads books for time- pass these days.
For this generation a more general topic question should be- “talk about the last YouTube video you’ve watched”.
Another one, “talk about the letter you’ve last sent to someone and for which reason”.
Here again, 99% of the examinee will get stuck (from the perspective of their real experience not a memorized answer)
In this context the easier general question for this generation should be, “talk about the last message you’ve sent using any social media or Gmail to someone”.
Bang!
Now the examinee will easily relate to the answer and no matter which spoken English proficiency they’re in [whether it’s point (a.) Or point (b.), as mentioned above] they’ll somehow manage to talk continuously (without being nervous) with whatever vocabulary stock they possess.
Therefore, to solve this complication, what you should do is, talk about the last movie or drama you’ve watched/know-about(already) as it was the story of the book you read.
I know it’s a lie but in IELTS you can’t argue with the examiner about a preferable topic for spoken. Here you are obligated to talk plenty on your unknown topic.
The spoken test is not just about your language proficiency inspection but also to examine your presence of mind.
In the same way, you should interchange your answer talks for letter writings with social media message typings.
Here you aren’t lying it all, you are just manipulating a bit. The modern-natural-daily experience of sending messages to someone in social media could be utilised to answer ’90s question of letter writing.
And every drama or a movie can be considered as a book in the beginning.
Remember, they are a blockbuster, mind-bending movie when someone writes it first time on paper which is a book. Eg. Harry Potter. Firstly it was a book, then it’s a movie.
Even to talk about flower, think of a documentary YouTube video about it. And from that imagination you’ll easily answer.
This is how I’ve understood to talk about unknown topic in IELTS.
Remember, you need to keep talking with logic from start to end. The things I’ve discussed above to give you a hint of how to use our modern-daily-activities to answer for questions related to mid-century habits.
Though we don’t go to garden anymore, so what! To answer for it, we could start imagining about a garden scene from a movie we have watched.
Walla!
This way You’ll find yourself gossiping about it in English, in the very tensed IELTS Spoken interview momentum.
Hope this lecture will help you.
